Trekking through unknown territory can be very intimidating and often scary. For those more adventurous people, trekking in unknown areas can be exciting and much preferred over guided tours. However, for trekkers who are beginners and are not quite as daring as the adventurous trekkers, trekking tours can be an ideal choice. By going on trekking tours you will be able to experience nature safely, and often times rather comfortably.

Trekking tours can range from just a day tour, to a weeklong adventure. If you are in great physical condition, the weeklong tour may be ideal. Companies also offer high altitude tours, which may include rock climbing. When considering the option of high altitude tours, you will not be able to do this type of tour in just a day or two, as the tour will need to include appropriate acclimatization days to avoid altitude sickness, so these tours will only be offered as a weeklong guided tour.

Depending on the region, you will want to find out what time of the year is the best time for trekking tours. If you are planning on short trekking, most of the months throughout the year are ideal. However, if you are trekking at high altitudes, some months may prove more dangerous than others as the weather can be unpredictable, so check with the tour company for the ideal times to go trekking.

The services provided by trekking tours can range, depending on the price and the knowledge of your guide. You will have the option of going on a private tour, or on a group tour. There is also the choice of what type of tour you wish to go on. For a more rugged experience a camping trek may be ideal, however a teahouse trek is also an option.

Most companies offer camping treks, where they provide the tents, mattresses, food, equipment and other necessary items for you. They will provide you with meals and drinks, and will also set up and clean up the campsite for you. Typically a crew of trekkers will be ahead of you setting up the camp and preparing everything before you arrive to the site.

If camping is not ideal due to weather conditions, often a teahouse trek is offered. This is where you are taken from teahouse to teahouse. A teahouse is considered a guesthouse, and can range in service depending on the area. In more rural areas the teahouse may be nothing more than a big room, whereas in more developed areas the teahouse may have running water and a bed.

Your choice of trekking tours all depends on your style and your needs. Wherever you choose to go for a trekking tour, always be sure that the company you choose is well known and experienced in trekking tours.

If you are looking to take your trekking up to the next level then a visit to a good trekking company will be of great help in helping you to get the information and ideas that you need. A good trekking company may specialise in trekking in certain region or a certain type of trek, such as Himalaya or Andes trekking, or they may specialise in simply arranging your travel and accommodation for international treks or they may just be involved in equipment procurement and will be able to help you to get any equipment that you need for your various trekking adventures.

There are a number of good trekking companies in the UK and if none happen to be located near to where you live you should also be able to find a suitable trekking company online. In fact, in may cases you will be better off looking for a trekking company online simply because you can go to the sites with the best reputations and be confident that you are dealing with people who know what they are talking about and will be able to help you and make your trip a success. Your safety will also be a concern and whether it be your travel arrangements or your equipment, you do need to be fairly confident that the trekking company that your are dealing with is one which you can be sure you can trust.

If you are going to a trekking company for equipment, hiking gear, camping gear and maps, then it is quite easy to shop around and compare the prices that are on offer. Most trekking equipment is available at a number of places and you will have a choice from many different trekking companies as to which type of equipment to choose and how much to pay. In such cases you should be able to judge whether the trekking company is good or not based on the equipment and the range of equipment they have available and in stock, how long it will take them to get it to you, whether or not they have everything that you need, and also if you will be able to get a good price on it.

However, if the reason you have gone to a trekking company is to arrange your travel arrangements and get your tickets and so forth, then it may be more difficult to know if you really are getting the best deal possible and if this trekking company is going to come up with the goods. Here you should really go by reputation and also be your own past experience.

Nepal is a beautiful and cultural country and has hundreds of incredible tourist destinations to offer. Among the most popular of Nepals attractions is trekking in Nepal. Tourists and locals have been trekking in Nepal for as long as they can remember, and its no wonder considering the beauty of the Himalayas and the uniqueness of the Nepalese countryside.

Nepal offers different types of trekking for the less experienced to be able to learn from some more experienced trekkers. They also have organised trips for those who do not know the Nepalese mountains that well and need some help from the locals. One type of trekking in Nepal is the teahouse trek. This has proven to be the most popular way of trekking in Nepal. Teahouses are small hut-like buildings situated along the trekking trails. They are hosted by locals who provide food and lodging for the trekkers. Usually with the teahouse treks, the group treks together for the day and when they get tired they bunk down for the night in one of the many teahouses. The teahouse treks allow visiting trekkers to experience the culture and meet the locals of Nepal without having to enter the cities and towns.

Another very popular type of trekking in Nepal are the camping treks. In the camping treks the group treks during the day until they find a nice spot to set up the tents and camp there for the night. The trekkers normally have to carry their own tents and other sleeping equipment on their backs when on a camping trek, but when trekking in Nepal they have the opportunity of joining an organised camping trek where the group leader plans for the tents and other equipment to be at the campsite for the groups when they arrive.

Planned treks are an amazing way to cross the Himalayas but they’re not for everyone. For those who prefer to have their own private trek this is also available in the mountains of Nepal. There are different levels of treks depending on the experience of the trekkers so it is not always necessary to be with a big group of people. Trekking in Nepal is a very personal experience for each and every person. It is up to the individual to decide what type of trekking is appropriate for them, and for how long and tough they want their trek to be. Trekking in Nepal is undoubtedly an unforgettable experience and is highly recommended to every trekker old or new to the sport.

Trekking is a form of hiking or walking through mountainous, rugged or rough areas. It is a sport which most often takes place in beautiful mountain ranges. When trekking in Asia, the hiker gets the opportunity to experience the beauty and uniqueness of the Himalayas. The Himalayas have the largest mountain peaks in the world and stretches across six countries in Asia. So it goes without saying that when trekking in Asia, it is definitely going to be worth visiting the Himalayas. The six countries of the Himalayas are Bhutan, China, Nepal, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The different countries in Asia hold different types of treks and tours. However, because they all hold the same mountain ranges their treks can be quite similar and easily found on any directory for any of the six countries. When trekking in Asia it is important to note that it is not the same as climbing and everyone, young or old, can partake in a trek. Different treks have different distances and level of difficulty, so it is up to the discretion of the trekker to decide what level is best suited to them.

Because of the different levels of difficulty of the treks, the distances are usually better calculated in time it takes to complete the trek rather than distance covered. Treks can go over a period of one day to a few weeks. The hikers do not have to be walking the whole time though and a lot of the longer treks have days off to discover the country and nature at your own pace. Once started on a trail for the day however, the group must meet their destination for the day or they will find themselves in a spot of trouble as concerns the sleeping arrangements.

When trekking in Asia the group has the choice of either sleeping in tea house huts that are situated along the trail or camping out in the nature in tents. If you go with an organised group it is often planned that you do not have to carry your tents and sleeping equipment but rather they are ready and waiting for you when you arrive at your campsite at the end of the day. This is one of the many advantages of trekking with an organised company when trekking.

Trekking in Asia is a unique experience enjoyed by those of you who like to be active and adventurous at the same time. It is a lovely way to experience the true beauty of nature and to spend some time appreciating it too.

If you are really interested in getting into the popular sport of trekking, but are a little bit worried about your safety or lack of experience, then a great way to ease yourself into this sport is to first pay a visit to a trekking centre. A trekking centre can help you to get into the sport by giving you information on local routes and trekking trails, letting you know what conditions and challenges to expect and basically giving the peace of mind of having a bit of advice and discussion on your intended treks before you take off for real.

You can also get many additional services from a trekking centre such as buying maps and even getting guided treks. In some instances, it will only be very beginners and families who are taking young children along with them who will want to have a guided trek but depending on where you are planning on trekking and the degree of difficulty that you are considering undertaking, you may well decide that you need a guide in various different circumstances. For example, if you are going up high mountains in winter or are abroad in more challenging areas, it is often a good idea to think about getting a guide before you undertake the most challenging treks.

Another thing that a trekking centre will be able to help you with, and something that most of the trekking centres in Britain are well known for is getting you organised with horse or pony trekking. If you want to go pony trekking, an you are not very well experienced with your own horse, then the best and probably the cheapest and easiest way to do so is to go straight to a trekking centre and have them make all of the arrangements for you. These types of services are much better organised by a trekking centre than you are likely to be able to organise yourself and you will probably enjoy the experience a lot more if you do go to a trekking centre before hand.

If you are unfamiliar with a new trekking area and are having trouble getting the information that you need about where to trek, what routes to take, what maps are dependable and so on, then a trekking centre is a great way of getting all of the help you need. You will also be able to benefit from getting advice and tips from people who are familiar with the area and have first hand experience of the treks that you are considering taking.

Using trekking poles while hiking and/or trekking can be an extremely useful and effective item to use during your trip. A trekking pole is basically an advance form of a hiking stick. They are made from aluminium, so they are lightweight and collapsible, which makes for easy storage. A trekking pole is available for purchase at most outdoor activity shops, and are well worth every penny as the trekking pole can benefit you in several ways during your trekking, especially when you know how to use them properly.

Although some people may consider the trekking pole as nothing more than a fancy accessory for hikers, it is actually an extremely important tool to have. If you find trekking or hiking to be difficult and hard on your knees or back, but are not willing to stop because it is an activity that you love, then the trekking pole is the solution for your problem. When using a trekking pole you reduce the weight on your back and your legs by at least nine pounds, and if you apply more pressure on the pole it will reduce the weight from your legs and back by at least fifteen pounds. Relieving the weight from your back and legs can make an extreme difference especially if you are carrying a backpack that weights over thirty pounds and you are trekking or hiking for miles.

Using two trekking poles may prove more effective as you will gain more stability while trekking or hiking. Prior to using the trekking poles, you will want to ensure that they are adjusted to the proper height for you. It is advised by some manufacturers that the height of the pole be adjusted to the terrain, however that may prove to be unnecessary and time consuming. It is best if the pole is adjusted to fit you, not the terrain. You will also want to ensure that the wrist straps are properly placed around your wrists for maximum efficiency. While using the trekking poles with the wrist straps, you will want to apply pressure on your wrist, do not grip the pole with your hands to apply pressure, as this will reduce the effectiveness of the poles.

Trekking poles are extremely effective and should be a necessity for every trekking trip you take. The use of trekking poles during your trekking will make such a noticeable difference the first time you use it. It will reduce the stress on your back, legs, knees and feet. It will increase your speed whether you are going up or down a hill; it reduces fatigue, provides stability, and will allow you to travel longer distances. A trekking pole comes highly recommended by avid hikers and trekkers, and when you use one for the first time, you will know why.

For those of you like walking or hiking, trekking could be a good sport for you to try. Trekking is another form of hiking that can be done in mountainous or rugged areas. Hiking, trekking or walking does not require any particular skill but it does require planning and the right equipment. It is also a good idea, if you are new to the sport, to start with a beginners trail and slowly work your way up to longer and more advanced trails. There should be signs along the trail showing distance and level of difficulty. The easier trails for the less advanced are usually shorter trails and do not have too many steep or rocky slopes. As the trails get harder the altitudes get higher and distance gets longer. It is up to the hikers discretion to decide how fit they are and what trail best suits their fitness.

Anyone who is going hiking, trekking or walking will need to have the right equipment for the trip. It is important to have a suitable backpack with multiple pockets and padded straps to support the back. The backpack, which should be adjustable at the straps, should sit right on the hips and finish one hand length below the base of your neck. There a few essential items that one needs to carry in their backpack. One is a portable first aid kit containing bandages, disinfectant and some band-aids. Some other items that one should carry in their backpack are a Swiss army knife, a bottle of drinking water and some food to last the trek. Suitable hiking, trekking or walking boots are also very important as a lot of strain is placed on the hikers feet during the trek and it is necessary for the boots to be supportive to the ankles. Thick socks are also useful to absorb the moisture of the feet so as to avoid blistering, which are caused by wet or damp feet.

Hiking, trekking and walking are very personal sports that can be done alone or in a group. It is a beautiful way to enjoy nature and experience it to its full extent. Hikers can spend many days walking and camping in the nature. It is also nice to hike in a group of friends so that you can all share the experience together and keep each other company on those beautiful nights spent around the campfire. It is a sport highly recommended for those who love to try new things and appreciate the unique beauty of our surrounding nature.

Anyone who has already had the opportunity of visiting this country will know that it has breathtaking landscape which include the fabulous mountain scenery of the Andes or Incas and the lush nature of the rainforest. When in Peru there are hundreds of ways to enjoy this beauty. For those of you who like to be adventurous a Peru trekking tour is just the thing. Trekking, also known as hiking, is an incredible way to experience the nature of your surroundings, as it is a sport that consists of walking through the rainforests and mountain ranges and camping out during the nights. A Peru trekking tour can range from beginners to advanced depending on the fitness and experience of the trekkers.

Peru holds many exciting adventures and in a Peru trekking tour you get to choose your own adventure. There are many different trails in many different locations so it is important to read up on all of them before deciding on the most appropriate for you. Here are just a few of the many trails that one can find on a Peru trekking tour.

Probably the easiest and shortest trail you can find is called the Short Inca Trail. This trail takes two days, which is good for those with limited time, or those who want to have a relaxing hike. The trail begins at km104 and ascends up to the old ruins of Winay Wayna. After going through the ruins the trail continues on to Machu Picchu. A slightly longer trail is the Classic Inca Trail and is classified as moderate. This trail again takes you to Machu Picchu by following the ancient route that used to be used by the Incas. It passes through both the incredible mountain scenery and the lush green rainforests of the country. For those who are interested in history this is a very suitable trail as there are many Inca ruins located along the way including Runkuracay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca and Wiay Wayna.

Because the Classic Inca Trek is so popular it fills up pretty quickly during the high seasons of a Peru trekking tour. If there were no space left in this trek another popular alternative would be the Mollepata- Salkantay – Santa Teresa – Machu Picchu. This trek takes five days and is classified as moderate to difficult. The first three days of the trek involve quite a diffucult trek to Santa Teresa. The fourth day is more relaxing and involves just a short trek and a short train ride to Aguas Calientes. The last day involves visiting Machu Picchu and finally returning to Cusco. All these trails begin and end in Cusco but there are many others that start in places like Arequipa and Huaraz. A peru trekking tour is undoubtedly an unforgettable experience and one that would be recommended to anyone who appreciates true beauty.

Located next to Nepal, Bhutan is part of the Himalayan Kingdom and is not as densely populated as other Asian countries, allowing you to experience and appreciate nature a lot more. A Bhutan trekking tour will allow you to experience the culture of the country, visit several indigenous people in the valleys and in the tiny villages located deep in the heart of the country. The people in Bhutan are said to be extremely hospitable, allowing you to take part in their festivals and culture, experiencing something rare and unforgettable.

There are several companies who will offer a Bhutan trekking tour. Their range of Bhutan trekking tours can be from just a day trekking tour, to a weeklong trekking tour. Depending your physical health and your budget you can choose from any of the Bhutan trekking tours that are available by most tour companies. The ideal time to visit Bhutan is from October to May. If you wish to go on a short trekking tour, the winter months are ideal. For high altitude trekking, October to November and March to May are the ideal months as weather can be more predictable. These are also the months when there are festivals allowing you to partake and experience the culture of the Bhutanese people. Some well-known festivals are the Thimpu and Wangdi Festival or the Paro Festival.

While you are in Bhutan, you may want to look into a guided tour to the Bumthang Valley, or to the sacred mountain of Bhutan, Chomolhari. Most trekking tours will offer guided tours to these areas. Trekking through Bhutan can be a memorable experience as a vast area of land is untouched by the outside world, trekking through the dense forests, and the alpine shrubs is the best way to experience nature at its fullest.

While searching for a tour company that will offer Bhutan trekking tours, you will want to make sure that they are a highly recommended and well-known company. Their guides should be well experienced with the terrain and the people of the country. If your budget will allow you may want to consider a Bhutan trekking tour that will provide everything for you, aside from personal items. Several tours will provide accommodations sometimes in a local guesthouse in a village; they may also provide pack animals, which will carry all the equipment aside from your personal belongings. Often they have a crew that is trekking ahead of you, and will set up the camp and prepare the food and drinks for the day. This will be ideal as you will be able to spend more time experiencing the countryside.

Trekking, also known as hiking, is most popular when done in rugged or mountainous areas. It is a very spontaneous sport due to the fact that the trip very much depends on the weather, rather than any previously made plans. Trekking is also quite a bit more peaceful than most other sports as it can be done alone, or with a small group, right in the heart of nature, away from any cities or even people.

Trekking can be done in any country in the world but there are some areas that are more popular than others. Countries with large mountain ranges like the Himalayas in Asia, the Andes in South America, or the Alps in Europe are usually the most popular locations.

One type of trekking is called camping trek. In this the trekker is required to carry tents and sleeping equipment with them on their backs as they trek during the day. They usually set out quite early in the morning, trek for a few hours and then stop and have some lunch. After lunch the trek continues for a few more hours until the trekkers have to find a nice location to set up camp for the night. Trekkers who do not have too much time to commit can also go on day treks. A day trek would usually consist of trekking up a small mountain and returning back down within the hours of daylight.

There are a few essentials one would need to take with them when going trekking. Most important is probably a first aid kit with at least some bandages, plasters and disinfectant handy. Another very important thing is suitable hiking boots. They must be comfortable, the right size and stable around the ankle area in order to avoid unnecessary injuries. Another item is a good backpack with padded straps so that it is supportive on your back. The backpack is useful to carry your first aid kit in as well as some food for the trek and plenty of fluids. Many trekkers travel for long periods of time with just their backpack and all their clothes and belongings that they need in there. Some trekkers also like to carry trekking poles with them to support them while hiking up or down steep slopes.

Because there are certain things that you cant learn from a book it is important, if you are a beginner, for your first trek to be with a more experienced trekker. This will help you learn all the tricks of walking for long periods of time, and how to look after yourself in nature.
